Industrial Transformation

We strongly support to continue this ERA action that connects the EU industrial strategy with the industrial technologies roadmaps and technology infrastructures, addressing both the directionality and implementation of the needed industrial transformation, involvement of stakeholders and synergies with national initiatives. In particular, the focus on technology infrastructure in ERA action 12 fills a gap in the European R&D&I landscape that is not addressed elsewhere. The urgency to bring critical technology to deployment has just increased with the recent European Economic security strategy. The previous ERA action has barely started so more time is needed to reach its objectives.

Advancement of circular economy extends outside of traditional industry. For instance, much of business school research supports many of these points, whether it's green transition, competitiveness, resilience, industry policies.

Laurea strongly supports this action. However, we see that demand side understanding customer and consumer sides of the equation need to be integrated into this action accordingly where relevant. Depending of course on nature of the industries in question (consumer products, industrial products, B2C, B2B, public-private partnerships).
