This action is significant, because research activities should lead the way towards sustainable future. This action seeks to raise awareness, define standards, and generate evidence for reducing research activities’ ecological footprint, and what is even more important, its implementation should lead to the adoption of greener approaches throughout the ERA. When the ecological footprint of research activities is considered closely, it will hopefully lead to growing adoptation of ecologically sustainable aspects in research contents and implementation and thus to concrete actions as well.
