Great European added value may be gained from joint infrastructure. Especially small scientific communities in one country may benefit for the access to valuable infrastructure. Thus this is of strategic importance to Finland.
This priority is of strategic importance to Aalto University because many of our research areas are infrastructure-intensive. Aalto's major research infrastructures are open to other users.
In many fields, also datasets are infrastructure. The best practices of research data management and FAIR principles (findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable) apply to research infrastructures as well and needs to applied.
Some of our infrastructures and datasets are globally unique and Aalto University has a national or European-level responsibility on them, either on its own or in collaboration with partners.
Aalto University is open to new collaboration opportunities on the area.
