Uskomme, että avoin näkemysten vaihto lisää ymmärrystä siitä, miten muut asian näkevät. Rakentava kritiikki ja hyvät argumentit johtavat kaikkien kannalta parempaan lopputulokseen. Keskustelu vie kaupunkiamme eteenpäin.
Keskusteluihin voit osallistua joko omalla nimelläsi tai nimimerkillä. Oman nimen käyttäminen antaa kommenteille usein nimimerkkiä enemmän painoarvoa keskustelussa. Jos et halua käyttää omaa nimeäsi, valitse nimimerkki, joka ei loukkaa muita keskustelijoita ja on helposti tunnistettavissa nimimerkiksi. Eli se ei siis ole tavanomaisen nimen kaltainen.
Kirjoittaja on aina vastuussa tekstistään. Valvomme keskustelua arkisin klo 8-16 välisenä aikana. Poistamme sopimattomat kommentit. Edellytämme, että verkkokeskustelu käydään hyvässä hengessä ja muiden keskustelijoiden näkemyksiä kunnioittaen.
Keskustelupalstoilla noudatamme seuraavaa etikettiä:
- Tutustu aineistoon ja pysy aiheessa. Harkitse mitä kirjoitat.
- Näkemyksesi on meille tärkeä. Kuuntele muita, kysy ja perustele näkemyksesi.
- Varmista, että esittämäsi tiedot pitävät paikkansa. Tiivis ja napakka teksti on pitkää selostusta parempi.
- Ole kohtelias ja rakentava. Älä loukkaa kenenkään kunniaa tai yksityisyyttä.
- Vältä kiroilua ja isoilla kirjaimilla kirjoittamista eli huutamista!
- Julkisen palvelun media on mainoksista vapaa. Ethän mainosta tapahtumia, tuotteita, palveluita tai tee suoraa poliittista tai uskonnollista mainontaa.

This is such a waste of money... and will significantly lessen the area for us residents. Peltotie needs proper drainage and that's all.
A large car park will be filled with kids in cars and on mopeds all weekends. (They already race down Pitkäjärvenranta - tarmacing that will heighten this problem, and one day i fear a child or pet will be hit by a car.)
And what is the obsession with taking natural foliage and trying to make it man made? One of the absolute pleasures of Finland is that these areas that are a little wild are still existing within the capital region. Currently Peltotie has two rows of old trees which are lovely in both winter and summer - creating a picturesque avenue. Are these to be ripped out? Who benefits from this?
Is there some huge demand for these changes? And if so by whom? It seems the residents don't wont them.. and so the council are enforcing them onto us? How does this make sense?

Spot on, Adam.
Setting up a parking lot next to the lake side has no rational, what so ever. As you already mentioned, such facilities in an inviting location tend to pull restless crowds just hanging around - especially with and around their vehicles. Most probably there would be a lot of car audio noise distributed all over Jupperi. There is no reason we would like to invite such pass time folks.
Planners may have looked at the sports field. When a planner sees something like that, immediately they believe, that such facility necessarily pulls in people from a wide area and a lot of vehicle traffic (think of a football team and respective matches). But this sports field is *not* for pulling in regional sport facility users. That activity is already adequately served at Laaksolahti Sports Center. This Jupperi sports plan is a facility for the localites. And they do not arrive by car.
Cleaning up surffiranta and eliminating improvised parking there sounds like a reasonable idea. That does not require setting up a replacement parking lot next to the sports field.
The parking lot is clearly a damaging element in the plan. It builds up restlessnes, which causes disturbance not only to the closest neighbours, but to the whole village. The Rantatie plan must be amended and the parking lot removed from the plan.
